We recently took Amtrak to Hanford with some friends for an evening of merry-go-round riding, face painting and ice cream cones the size of our heads at their Thursday night farmers market. The girls have been wanting to ride the train for some time and the 1 hour train ride was perfect. We had a great time together and will plan a trip again next year.

I love the train. One time we took a trip from N. Cali. to Washington, and I just loved it so much I could hardly sleep the entire time. Of course, being 12 might have had something to do with it. I suppose we'll get lots of "train opportunities" in the U.K.
