Big Girl

I can't believe one of my babies just lost her first tooth. I wasn't expecting this for at least another year since Hannah barely started losing teeth. A couple days ago she said "Mom, I have a loose tooth". I just figured she was playing around, but when I checked, sure enough, she had one really loose tooth. She let her Daddy pull it out tonight and didn't even cry. Not to worry though...she assures me she can still eat dessert!

Death Without Dessert

We went to a birthday party for a friend tonight but had to leave before they had cake (I'm actually not even sure they were having cake). Anyway, the girls were very disappointed and were pestering me for dessert of some sort...candy...anything...PLEASE Mom!! This kind of thing nearly causes me to lose my mind. I finally had to lay down the law and explain in my most stern voice that no one was getting any sugar of any sort tonight, especially not after the way they were acting. To which Sarah replied, "but Mom, we'll die without sugar". Nice Try. Now that they're in bed, I'm wondering what's for dessert.

The picture is Grace, (who is especially passionate about dessert and did most of the pestering this evening), shoveling in her 1st Birthday Cake. That's my girl!

Easter Travels

We hit the road for Easter this year. As we travelled North, we made a brief stop in Fresno, then on to Cottonwood for a visit with Papa Jim and Grandma Sue. We enjoyed seeing their new house, making wedding plans, eating Papa Jim's cooking, coloring and hunting Easter Eggs, eating lots of candy and watching movies at the Cobb Cinema. On the way home we made a brief stop at Gitty's for a quick visit and trip to the Oakland Zoo. Here are a few pictures of all the festivities.

Enjoying the room to roam at Papa and Grandma's new place.
