We went to a birthday party for a friend tonight but had to leave before they had cake (I'm actually not even sure they were having cake). Anyway, the girls were very disappointed and were pestering me for dessert of some sort...candy...anything...PLEASE Mom!! This kind of thing nearly causes me to lose my mind. I finally had to lay down the law and explain in my most stern voice that no one was getting any sugar of any sort tonight, especially not after the way they were acting. To which Sarah replied, "but Mom, we'll die without sugar". Nice Try. Now that they're in bed, I'm wondering what's for dessert. The picture is Grace, (who is especially passionate about dessert and did most of the pestering this evening), shoveling in her 1st Birthday Cake. That's my girl!
