We're a Family of 6!

About a month ago, we went from being a family 5 to a family of 6.  The newest member of our family is a 16 year old high school student named Jerry.  He's a great kid and we love him a lot.

We've been learning lots of new things from each other.  For example...

Sarah is learning to box and...

Jerry is learning to play in the ocean.

Jerry is a gift to our family and we are so thankful that God made a home for him here with us.  It is our prayer that Jerry will continue to pursue a home for his heart with Jesus.
"Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds - his name is the Lord - and rejoice before him.  A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."  (Psalm 68:4-5)

Easter People

Regarding the lives of Christians, Barbara Johnson says this...
"We're Easter people living in a Good Friday world."

May the hope of Easter fill your hearts today and always.

Snug as 3 Little Bugs in a Rug

We went to the beach last weekend and this is the only picture I took the whole time.  It's a beautiful sight though isn't it?

Tommy Emmanuel at Orange Blossom Junction

I bought tickets months ago for Rob and I to see Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel at Orange Blossom Junction in Exeter for Valentine's day.  To say we were not disspointed would be an understatment.  The food at this place was outstanding.  Seriously, check their menu and see if you don't start drooling.  It tasted as good as it sounds.

The concert...well, I have no words except to say that it was a joy to watch someone so gifted do what he was made to do.  See for yourself...

It was a great night with my sweatheart!

Nowhere Today

Today Sarah and Hannah sailed to New York via Australia in a molded plastic outdoor chair with a jump rope for a seat belt.  They were going to see the Statue of Liberty but got sidetracked when their sister asked them to help her build a workshop out of some old scraps of wood.

Sometimes I get so busy doing whatever it is I do that I forget to slow down and be present for these great little moments.  Sarah and Hannah really weren't going anywhere, but as one of my favorite authors points out nowhere is really just now-here.  So at least for a moment today I was nowhere with my girls.  It was nice.
