A Weekend at the Clarke Cottage

Well, the antibiotics have kicked in and I am feeling much better! So, this past weekend we took a road trip to Rob's Aunt Kathy and Uncle John's house in Attascadero. We always have a great time there. The Clarke Cottage is the wonderful old home built in 1917 that they have lovingly refurbished and decorated with many of Kathy's amazing quilts. Hannah asked me what a quilt was and I explained that it is a really pretty blanket made of lots of little pieces of fabric and that it would take mommy an entire lifetime to even come close to completing one. Aunt Kathy is very talented.

Friday night was a treat. Cousin Robyn, her husband Billie and her mom came for dinner. Billie and John both play in a band, so Rob got to play guitar with them and learn a few new things while the girls put on a song and dance show for all. We spent Saturday and Sunday enjoying the beach. Rob got to surf, the girls got to play in the sand and waves and I got to lie on a blanket and enjoy the cool weather.

Aren't you supposed to take it easy when your sick? Stay out of the sun when your on antibiotics? It's still fun to get away ain't it?
